Best Search Result to Find My Blog Ever!!!

In my stats on who viewed my blog, I see lots of interesting things. People from a lot of different countries finding my blog and some of them even spending a significant amount of time reading my random posts.

Tonight, I found the creme de la creme of search referrals (I think that is the right way to write that, really not sure). Someone searched for “salt and water induced puking” and my blog shows up as the second result on this list. Made me bust out laughing. All because of “The Tour“. Makes what I witnessed that night all the more memorable.

Stumbling Around the Internet

So I found this little add-in program called Stumble for Firefox that you tell it some of your interests and then you can click a button and it will take you to a random website related to your interests. It is an amazing way to waste a lot of time. Here is some of what I found…

If you click on the link, it says “7 Answers” at the top. It was enough to make me read on…
1) I never realized 7 was Blonde, he’s been hiding it well…
2) The answers mention water skiing, so it has to be reposted.

A Blonde Year in Review

January-Took new scarf back to store because it was too tight

February-Fired from pharmacy job for failing to print labels… Helllooo!! …bottles won’t fit in typewriter!

March-Got really excited…finished jigsaw puzzle in 6 months …box said “2-4 years!”

April-Trapped on the Macy’s escalator for hours after the power went out!

May-Tried to make Kool-Aid…wrong instructions…8 cups of
water won’t fit into those little packets!

June-Tried to go water skiing…couldn’t find a lake with a slope.

July-Lost breast stroke swimming competition. Learned later,
the other swimmers cheated, they used their arms!

August-Got locked out of my car in rain storm-car swamped
because soft-top was open.

September-The capital of California is “C”…isn’t it?

October-Hate M&M’s..they are so hard to peel

November-Baked turkey for 4 1/2 days…instructions said 1 hour
per pound and I weigh 108!

December-Couldn’t call 911…”duh .there’s no “eleven” button
on the stupid phone!

What a year!!!

Google Searches

It is always interesting to see how people “find” my blog… I can sometime see where people come from… RSS feeds, MySpace, LiveJournal, random clicks on the Next Blog on top of Blogger, etc. I see a lot of people come from Google searches now too, although this is probably one of the more interesting searches I’ve seen… They searched for “weeds in the bay area“. My blog is one of two sites that came up. I’m not sure what they wanted to find, but I’m guessing it wasn’t information about Monona Bay since they were from California.

Observation…

It is always interesting when I see people from all over visit my blog… like today, someone from Tokyo, Japan spent several minuts reading my post about the Show Ski National Results. I’m pretty sure I don’t know anyone in Tokyo. I’ve also had a reader (or readers) from Everett, Washington keep coming back.

Now if some of these random people would drop a note by commenting and say hi, it would be really great. Did I help them out, convince them to go see (or stay away) from a movie, or just give them a fun filled fact about water skiing? Who knows?
