Saw this post over at Chicks Dig the Long Ball and it makes for an interesting read.
However, I’m confused by one grouping…
Somehow they put the Badgers into the Aquatic Animal group. Not saying Badgers are anti-aquatic, but don’t they live in holes in the ground? That, and I think they require water just as much as the other average mammal. The origin of the term “Wisconsin Badgers” doesn’t even have anything to do with the prevalence of the Mustelidae in the region. It has more to do with the fact that Badgers live in holes in the ground.
You’d think before someone would write the definitive grouping of mascots, they do some research or admit they don’t know.
